Bred Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap
Today we have our first look at actual pictures of the Bred Air Jordan 1 High Strap. As we said on Monday, the strap is removable so you can still rock the Bred 1’s with OG swag.
Nike 1World Hajime Tachibana x Air Force 1
This is the first in the Nike 1World Series that doesn’t come in a low. The all white upper is embossed with the Air Force 1 sole design in certain areas. This will be a hot release.
Nike Zoom Lebron VI - “Chalk” Commercial
With the launch of the sixth generation Lebron James signature Nike shoe, the Nike Zoom Lebron VI, only a few days away, Nike has released a new commercial to coincide with the shoe. The commercial entitled “Chalk” features a number of different people throwing chalk in the air much like Lebron does prior to tip-off every game. An interesting commercial to say the least but like many Lebron commercials before this, we must say Nike has done another great job.
Nike Dunk Hi Premium SB - Soda Cup
Although the pics are surfacing just as the holiday buying season begins and the colors evoke a Christmas theme, these Hi SB Dunks aren’t affiliated with St. Nick. Instead, they’re releasing around next Easter, April 9, 2008 according to Vagant, who’ve dubbed these “Soda Cup”. They posted the pic on their blog along with this release date so that we can all get excited. The rich red upper has suede on the toe and rear panel/wing and perforated leather toebox, tongue, side panel and sole. A white swoosh, heel and midsole, green laces and brown lining give all that red a nice balance.
Nike Dunk Hi Premium SB - Quagmire
Nike Skateboarding made Dunks for Marge and Homer Simpson, what’s to say they aren’t going to do the same for Family Guy. Here are a new pair of Premium SBs slated for 2009 release that bare the name “Quagmire” because the rear panel/wing and side panel are a bright red with yellow embroidered stars just like the shirt worn by the sex-crazed character on Fox. At first glance, this might look like a patriotic pack, so we’ll keep an eye on these to see exactly when they drop.
Air Jordan 1 Low “Velcro” | White/Varsity Red/Black
Trading in the laces for velcro straps has transformed into the creatively entitled Air Jordan 1 Low “Velcro”. This pair of the latest incarnation of the classic Air Jordan comes in a white, varsity red and black colorway. Expect to pay $100 for these, which release on the 22nd of November.

Tabi Bonney is West African born, District of Columbia bred, and overall Dope musician. Nike just can’t stop innovating its Air Force One line. Expanding on their use of 3XDRY technology that has been seen on some recent dunks, Nike Sportswear has styled an upcoming Air Force Once Mid Supreme using the innovative technology. 3XDRY, in case you are not familiar, is a treatment used on the sneaker’s materials to help protect your feet against elements such as rain and snow. These release features a season-appropriate colorway with teh use of earth tones such as premium light and dark brown leather. The midsole also features a blue lining to coordinate with the rest of the sneaker. Look for these to drop on November 29th.

Nike Dunk High - Georgie Poorgie Customs
One of my favorite custom sneakers designed by sneaker customizer TTK are these Georgie Poorgie Dunks designed after President George Bush. TTK created these Nike Dunks back in July ‘07 and won the 2007 Funkmaster Flex Car Show/Custom Sneaker Battle in Hartford, CT with them. The sneakers feature a desert camo design on the frontal and lace tab with a brown toe-box, with an image of George Bush on each sneaker set on a green base. One of the sneakers displays the dumbfounded look of G.W. saying “capitOILism” and mumbling some other stuff you can never understand. The other sneaker shows another picture of Bush, this time holding a gas can with the quote “Iraqi Freedom Aint Free” written in red and black. Both of the pictures of Bush also have gold dollar signs floating around him.
Nike Blazer High George “Iceman” Gervin - House of Hoops Exclusive
The George “Iceman” Gervin House of Hoops Exclusive Nike Blazer Hi Premium was previewed a few weeks ago, but it only displayed the Blazer in its normal state. Composed of a 3M reflective upper, the Iceman Blazer’s also feature a silhouette of Gervin holding two basketballs, this picture of Gervin also appears on the in-sole. In addition, the sneakers also sport “ICE MAN” at the heel. Unfortunately, the Iceman Blazers were released at the House of Hoops and limited to 24 pairs.
GLC’s Air Yeezys Seen @ Self-Conscious Chicago
During the Chicago Bears Signing on Monday at Self-Conscious, Chicago’s own, GLC stopped by the shop to show love rocking his own pair of black on black with a white sole Air Yeezy’s given to him exclusively by Kanye West himself. Though he didn’t say much about the pair he did mention DECEMBER. So all I have to say is get ready.
Nike Sportswear Dunk Hunt T- Shirt
Nike takes inspiration from the classic 80’s Nintendo video game “Duck Hunt”. Remember cheating while playing the game? You know how you use to play with the gun touching the TV screen. Anyhow, Nike twisted the Duck Hunt artwork and made Dunk Hunt tees. A nice addition for all the Dunk heads out there. Check with your local shops for more info on these tees.

R.I.P. TORO
On Saturday morning October 18 2008, Opa-Locka-based rapper Toro, was shot and killed in Miami. The artist, whose real name is Derek Johnson, 23, was killed in a drive-by shooting while leaving Coco's Strip Club at around 4 am.
Toro, who was signed to Iconz Music, was a popular local rapper that didn't warrant much mainstream radio play, but was well received throughout Miami-Dade county because of his music.
Details are still sketchy, but according to Jay Fentz,CEO of Iconz Music, Toro had just finished his newest recording, "I Do This" early Friday night, and was trying to get his record played at a few local nightclubs.
He was at Miami's Club 112 earlier in the evening, then left, and headed to Coco's to give a copy of his new song to the DJ there. Upon leaving Coco's, he was sitting in his vehicle along with his cousin when a silver sedan pulled up and sprayed Toro's car with gunfire. Toro was killed at the scene and his cousin was shot in the leg, but is expected to recover.

Nike Dunk Hi WMNS - Herringbone Tweed
There’s some debate as to what another pair of black Nike Dunk His should be nicknamed (we’ll touch on that later), but this pair speaks for itself. We always love to see Nike get away from “pink ‘em and shrink ‘em” for their women’s kicks, and this is no exception. These His (looks like a CL-level release from the pics and pricing) are both clean and eyecatching. They feature black leather uppers with a patent leather black swoosh. The entire upper is stiched in white for a nice contrast. On the side panel, we see a tweed herringbone pattern, mostly black and grey, plus little flecks of red here and there. The herringbone tweed looks almost like a staticky TV from afar, but when you close in, you notice the classic tweed styling.
Nike Dunk High Supreme x Married to the Mob
Fashion label Married to the Mob has hooked up with Nike Dunk High Supreme. The kicks are set to release at shops with Nike Tier-0 accounts this 8th of November 2008.
Nike SB Dunk Low | Brazil Custom Series
Here is the third release from the Nike SB Custom Series. The kicks were designed by three pro skaters on the Nike team. Each sneaker has a music theme with a pair designed Fabio Cristiano inspired by a cassette tap, a pair by Cezar Gordo inspired by Headphones, and a pair by Rodrigo Petersen inspired by a walkman. Each sneaker is limited to 480 pairs and release exclusively in Brazil at select shops. The release date is the 13th of November.
