Half of the People Who Founded Los Angeles were of African Descent

This is pretty interesting! My brother is currently reading a book right now called "Black Miami in the Twentieth Century (Florida History and Culture)" and it pretty much breaks down the heritage of Miami and how Downtown Miami South Beach and Coconut Grove were all predominantly populated by blacks and that they built most of that whole area!
