Yung Berg Threatens Bow Wow
Yung Berg started out what would be a very long year for him trying to Debo Bow Wow for a verse. According to Berg 50 Cent advised him to go after Bow Wow which wasn’t pretty pointless. In 2008 Yung Berg ran into a lot of trouble from his chain being snatched, being smacked by Maino, making negative comments about dark skin females and beef with Ne-Yo & Brisco. He still got a chance if he comes back in 2009 a lot more humble.

VYBZ KARTEL CELEBRATES HIS WIN @ STING WITH A NEW MAVADO DISS “LAST MAN STANDING”
Hours after the clash between Vybz Kartel and Mavado at Sting 2008, Kartel has recorded a song boldly declaring that Mavado ran from the war.
Entitled Don’t Run (Last Man Standing) the song was recorded Saturday morning and was produced by Portmore Empire affiliated producer Not Nice. In the song Kartel dubs Mavado the ‘runner’ stating that the artiste ran before completing the clash.
When THE STAR contacted Kartel yesterday he said, “They can’t say they won war when, one, he deejayed one song twice, two, he called me barber when he turned instant idiot; three, he abruptly left the stage with the band, which is his band. I tested him on him own band and he failed so I built that song to remind him clashing is about the last man standing. Not the first boy running.”

But some of what hes saying is a little far gone cuz Nas actually isnt the first artist or person for that matter to say the genre is dyeing it has been leading up to that for some time now since the late 90's when the shiny suits came into play... So Nas brought out on front street what alot of people were saying behind closed doors which is a good thing in my opinion! If HipHop was dead I think that just by Nas saying that it is has caused alot of artists in the biz to prove that it isnt by putting out better music. So I actually think it has had a positive effect on the industry overall...

The Department of Justice is working on two new weapons descended from the Air Force's "pain beam" Active Denial System—and wants to put them in the hands of your local boys in blue.
One is a backpack-sized portable ADS that uses microwaves to roast your skin, creating what the Pentagon gingerly calls a "repel response"—in other words, OWOWITBURNSOWOWTURNITOFF. They say it causes no permanent damage, but there haven been cases of second-degree burns.
And then you've got the PhaSR, that Starship Troopers-looking laser rifle above. Custom Nike Air Force One - 808s & Heartbreak
Sneaker Customizers/Artists Mache and emmanueLabor collaborated on their latest custom which features this Air Force One based off the art piece KAWS designed. Each artist handled a different aspect of the design to form this collaboration, Mache working on the back half including the colorful KAWS graphics and emmanueLabor doing his thing on the front half with the plaid fabric to match Kanyes suit and the broken heart on the tongue. As is Mache and emmanueLabor are both great artists in their own sense, but when you combine their talents your always bound to get something truly unique like these Air Force Ones. These sneakers will join the collection of Mr. Kanye West himself thanks to eL and Mache and are not for sale, sorry folks.

Nike Dunk High Destroyers Hit the US
After dropping overseas a minute ago, the Nike Dunk High Destroyers Pack for 2008 has officially touched down in the US. The Destroyers 2008 features three Patent/Gradient Dunk Highs in Black, Green, or Red. All three are available now at select Nike Sportswear accounts.
Nick Fritz x Nike Dunk High - XBOX 360
Shoe customizer Nick Frits has gotten together with to collaborate on two pairs of Nike Dunk Highs. In case you couldn’t tell, the theme of both shoes is the Microsoft XBOX 360. ONe sports a white leather upper with green contrast stitching, as well as detailed patterns on the toe box, quarter panels, and ankle area. The other version sports the same designs, but come in a black leather design. No word yet on their availability but we’ll keep you updated.

Another highlight from the Nike Playmakers Event the other night were these Nike Air Force 1 x Dunk SB Low White Supremes we spotted in the collection of All Day. If you don’t remember, DJ Clark Kent was spotted wearing the same shoes in the equally dope black colorway a couple months ago at a Nike Sportswear event. The shoes feature the classic Nike SB Low white Supreme upper with a white, AF1 sole that has a blue out-sole to go with the inside of the shoe. As with the rest of the shoes of these nature, these will not release to the public. They were created for the original members of the Nike Skateboarding team only, which is unfortunate for all you Air Force 1 fans.

Air Jordan Fusion 9 White Red New Pic
In 2009 Jordan Brand is set to continue their Air Jordan Fusion series with the Nike Air Force 1 by starting off with the Air Jordan Fusion 6 at the top of the year through the Spring. Once the Summer hits, Jordan Brand is going to move into the Air Jordan Fusion 9. The Air Jordan Fusion 9 is molded more like the Air Jordan Fusion 3 with the Air Jordan part taking the entire upper and the Nike Air Force 1 part taking up the midsole/outsole. The White/Red Air Jordan Fusion 9 features a White leather AJ9 upper, a Black tongue, and a Red midsole.
The White/Red Air Jordan Fusion 9 is set to release in June of 2009.

Building on the buzz and success of the 112 Pack, DJ Clark Kent and Nike International have linked up for a 112 Pack sequel. Another multi sneaker pack, the 112 Pack part 2 features a 112 Nike Air Force 25 Low, and, a sneaker that will be unveiled at a later time. The 112 Pack Nike Air Force 25 Low features the now trademark 112 colors and materials. Unlike that first 112 Pack, the 112 Pack part 2 is set to release exclusively in China.

Last night, Nike kicked off the third installment in their “Playmakers” series at Niketown New York. The event showcased a plethora of highly sought-after yet unattainable kicks from the private collections of sneaker maniacs DJ Clark Kent, Mayor and All Day. In attendance were a handful of known personalities including the homie Aaron De La Cruz, producing a custom pair of kicks for DJ Clark Kent featuring his signature intricate pattern technique. Other pairs exhibited included the much talked about Tiffany Air Force 1’s and even some Money Cat’s with a midsole makeover.
